Update to Robbery Investigation: Howard Watson Trail

On May 31st, 2024, at 3:00 PM, the SPS
responded to the area of London Road and the Howard Watson trail for a
disturbance involving a number of people, with initial information that a
victim had been stabbed and one of the suspects possibly being in possession of
a firearm. Members from the Operations Division and the SPS Emergency Response
Team (ERT) located a male victim who was transported to hospital by EMS.
The victim in this incident was not stabbed but received medical treatment and was released.
Prior to police arrival, three unknown
suspects fled the area utilizing the Howard Watson trail.
As a result of the
investigation, the SPS Criminal Investigations Division have identified and
arrested the following individuals:
Kayla GIBBS (32) was
arrested on May 31st and has been charged with:

Assault
Causing Bodily Harm
·
Robbery
·
Possession
of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
GIBBS was released on
a Recognizance with a court date.
Mathew BOLAND (36) was
arrested on June 7th and has been charged with:

Assault
Causing Bodily Harm
·
Robbery
BOLAND was held in
custody pending a bail hearing.
Christopher WILLIAMS
(42) was arrested on June 7th and has been charged with:

Assault
Causing Bodily Harm
·
Robbery
·
Carry a
Concealed Weapon
·
Weapons
Dangerous
·
Assault
with a Weapon x 3
WILLIAMS was held in
custody pending a bail hearing.
