Immigration Arrest for Sarnia Male

Jul 12, 2024

On July 11, 2024, members of the Sarnia Police Service, along with our partners at Canada Border Services attended the Inn of the Good Sheppard, in the City of Sarnia, to locate Daniel Garcon (28 years).

Daniel Garcon was the subject of a previous news release: https://www.sarniapolice.ca/news/222/sarnia-police-arrest-male-on-multiple-charges-after-causing-a-disturbance/

Daniel Garcon continued to be a source of problems at locations which cater to the city’s homeless population, including:  Rainbow Park, the Inn of the Good Shepherd, and River City Vineyard.

Daniel Garcon had accumulated nineteen (19) criminal charges, in the City of Sarnia, since July 2, 2024.  As a result of Daniel Garcon’s previous criminal convictions, his outstanding criminal charges and his repeated involvement with police, Daniel Garcon was deemed a threat to public safety.  As a result, and in consultation/collaboration with CBSA, Garcon was arrested by members of the Sarnia Police Service under the authority of section 55 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.  Garcon was immediately handed over to members of Canada Border Services to determine his immigration status.
