UPDATE # 1 - Sarnia Police Investigating Found Human Remains

The Criminal Investigations Division of the Sarnia Police Service continues to investigate the found human remains. The remains have been sent to the Centre of Forensic Science in Toronto where they will undergo autopsy in order to determine the cause of death and identity.
Police are still present at the scene and are utilizing members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to conduct a methodical ground search of the area looking for evidence to support the investigation.
In order to protect the integrity of the police investigation, only this limited information is being released at this time.
Further updates will be provided once the remains have been identified and next-of-kin have been properly notified.
