Update to MCAT Drug Investigation

As part of an ongoing investigation into Shelly Dee CAMPBELL (63-yrs) of Sarnia, members of the Major Case Action Team (MCAT) identified a storage locker on Devine Street that was associated with her.

On October 31, 2024 MCAT executed a search warrant on this storage locker where they located and seized $132,039 in Canadian currency and $143.00 in US currency which is blieved to be proceeds of drug trafficking.

On November 21, 2024, CAMPBELL was charged with an additional count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00 and she was held pending a bail hearing.

On Tuesday October 22, 2024, the Major Case Action Team (MCAT) concluded a drug investigation with the arrest of a local female and the execution of search warrants at a home on Conrad Street and a London Line Motel. 

The arrested female was already out on bail for drug related offences stemming from a March 2024 investigation. 

As a result of the search warrants, the following was seized:

  • 112.69 grams of methamphetamine
  • $1,955 in cash
  • 2 digital scales
  • 2 cell phones

The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $5,635.00

Shelly Dee CAMPBELL (63-years-old) of Sarnia was held for bail charged with:

  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5 (2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
  • Two counts of failing to comply with a release order (Bail)
