Dangerous and Impaired Operation
A male party has been arrested by the Sarnia Police after trying to mow down pedestrians with his vehicle in a South end neighbourhood.
The male party initially pulled up into a city park and began attempting to annoy a homeless encampment by blasting his horn for several minutes. He then attracted the attention of neighbours who were drawn to the prolonged distraction. The male party then attempted to flee the area striking a pedestrian in the process with his vehicle.
After driving down the street, the vehicle then conducted a U-turn, squealing his tires, and returned back at a high rate of speed. The male attempted to strike pedestrians again with his vehicle before fleeing the area.
Sarnia Police located the vehicle quickly and arrested the male for a variety of criminal offences. Amongst these criminal offences is Impaired Operation.
The male party will be held for a bail hearing.
